ALA-WIN Program
Alabama Work Incentive Network
ALA-WIN is a program that assists Supplemental Security Income recipients and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) beneficiaries between the ages 14 and 64 understand their work options, so that they may make more informed choices regarding employment. The program provides information about federal, state, and local work incentives programs and related issues, such as cash and medical benefits. Alabama Work Incentive Network (ALA-WIN) is a cooperative agreement between the Social Security Administration, United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham, and Independent Living Resources of Greater Birmingham.
Services Provided:
- Individual Benefits Counseling
- Assist consumers in developing Plan for Achieving Self Support (PASS)
- Assist consumer with completing and filing overpayment waivers
- Educational presentation to professionals
- Outreach to community groups
- Work incentive options
