Adult Program

The Adult Program of United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham, Inc. offers a variety of services to promote independence based on each individual's needs.

Eligibility criteria require a diagnosis of a developmental disability, manageable behavior and the ability for United Cerebral Palsy to meet his/her needs. In addition the individual must be at least 21 years old. To learn more about Alabama Medicaid Health and Community-Based Waiver programs, click here.

If you have a child with a disability, it is important that you begin the process of applying for adult services for your son or daughter at least three years before they exit school.  It is a long process that requires you to provide needed information and continue to follow up on the status as your child transitions into adulthood.
