Life Without Limits.
For people with disabilities, those are more than just words. They are a promise of a world where disability is understood to be a common part of the human experience, neither defining nor limiting.
At United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Greater Birmingham we know that every day children and adults with disabilities overcome great obstacles with persistence, strength, and courage. That’s why we have created the Life Without Limits Inspiration Awards to honor youth and young adults who have overcome adversity to achieve their highest potential. This award will recognize young people in two age categories – three to twelve years and thirteen to twenty-one years. An award winner, along with first, second and third alternates, will be selected in each of the two categories.
The Life Without Limits Inspiration Awards will be presented to the winner in each category at our annual Life Without Limits Luncheon which is set for February 9, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at The Doubletree Birmingham Hotel. This luncheon honors local individuals, corporations, and groups that have contributed to our mission of connecting people with disabilities to the community. We are excited about recognizing outstanding youth with disabilities as a part of this event.
CALL FOR AWARD NOMINATIONS
Category One: Ages 3 to 12 Years
Category Two: Ages 13 to 21 Years
The awards will be given to honor these young people who have overcome obstacles and adversity to achieve their highest potential.
