Parents as Partners
United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham reaches out to parents through its new Parents as Partners program. Participating in Parents as Partners is a wonderful way to recognize and celebrate the excellent care provided at UCP of Greater Birmingham. Through the Parents as Partners program, families will have the opportunity to support the programs and services that are particularly special to them.
All parents are invited to join the Parents as Partners program. There are a number of ways to get involved:
- Volunteer to speak at various community events on behalf of the Parents as Partners
- Join our fall fundraising effort. Conduct a Parents as Partners campaign among family, friends, co-workers or employers to raise funds for UCP of Greater Birmingham.
- Become a Parents as Partners Table Captain at the Life Without Limits luncheon held each spring. Fill a table of 8 for this free luncheon where people will hear about our mission and services and will be asked to make a financial contribution to support UCP.
- Encourage your friends, family, co-workers and employers to participate in UCP fundraising events, including Casual Day and the annual Poinsettia Sale.
- Make a contribution to the Parents’ Fund which supports the work being done at UCP. Gifts of all size are appreciated and 94 cents of every dollar contributed directly benefits our programs. Memorials and honorariums are a wonderful way to recognize important people in your life. A gift in memory of a loved one is a special tribute that supports a wonderful cause. Rather than buying a token of appreciation for the staff, you can make a gift to UCP of Greater Birmingham in their honor.
If you do choose to make a donation, you can designate your gift to be used for a specific area. For example: technology, scholarships, or wherever the need is greatest.
